This blog is about my attempts to learn more about field botany in the UK. I hope that by writing things out in a blog it will help me to rationalise and understand and hopefully remember stuff. As I live in Wales there will obviously be an emphasis on plants that grow near to where I live.
Since first starting this blog the emphasis has changed, so that I intend (from 2022) to concentrate on wild plants of urban spaces especially those growing on walls and pavements.
The main emphasis of the blog will be observation, and I will be photographing and sketching things I see. Please feel free to make comments if you notice anything which is obviously wrong!
